How do I identify my turbo
Hi. I've been told my turbo is a 10.5 but the compressor housing is polished with no numbers.. is there any way if I can tell if it is a 10.5? As the seals have gone and if it's anything else then I want to upgrade.
Cheers for any help.

this thread shows the turbine housing as having 105 molded on it. Not sure if this applies to ALL 10.5 housings though.

Obvs if it's any good I'm gona make a manifold to suit, change injectors, sd and map it.. I'm just trying to work with what I've got. If I have to I will just have my turbo rebuilt but I hate repairing without improving lol

It's got loads of play and I've realised it was that making the strange noise I had on boost.. I really want a big forward facing turbo set up. I've got another engine I'm building fully forged 2.3 but it's taking a long time to pay for the best bits.. so one day when it's ready I've already got the turbo set up. I've mesured the turbo and it should be simalar to a pt6466? I'm really not bothered how it would run on the 2.0 I'm not looking for big numbers 'yet' I just want to prepare myself (mapping practice and sd conversion) then when I can afford it get an actual pt6466 or something of simalar capabilities
Measurement don't tell the whole story of turbo performance. You have the design and weight of the wheels which are equal parts of performance. Those schwitzer's are old tech.
I also wouldn't put a big turbo on a 2.3 (100mm crank) 4g63. Go with a 94mm crank and 153mm rods. It will result in a much better powerband.
