I am trying to get some piston rings for an Evo 7. They place I ordered from says they are on back order and won't be available for 60 to 90 days. So I am now wondering if the Evo 8 rings can work. The part numbers are different but they possibly are interchangeable. Does anyone know by chance?

 

I think 8 and 9 rings were thinner than the e7 rings.
