Have a weird clutch drag issue. Exedy triple/2.4L

Hey guys.
I have a weird clutch drag issue.
2.4L exedy triple. Master adjusted all the way out. Got like 2 more threads left on the rod.
While clutch pedal is pressed in all the way. Trans in first gear. Flat surface. At 7k car don't move. At 7500 starts to creep forward and at 8-8500 it basically launches itself. Clutch has about 1k miles on it. Possible that I warped a floater in the clutch?
Thanks

Could it be harmonics/vibration from the engine since it's a 2.4?

i read this as, your car is stationary & you have the clutch pedal pressed & you have the engine revving between 8000 / 8500 rpm?

is that true?

That's how I read it. Per Jack's Trans its how to test for clutch drag.

Yup.

It shouldn't move at all.

It's going to become a measurement game.

There is a degree of deflection that Exedy has written somewhere in their website about your pressure plate (CM06H). It tells us the exact distance that the plate needs to be pulled (or pushed depending on your setup) in order to disengage the clutch disks completely.

Have someone push your clutch pedal to the floor while you measure the distance that the slave cylinder moves the clutch fork.

If it more or less matches what Exedy has on their pressure plate spec sheet, then we know that the clutch could be warped somewhere.

Truth is, i'm not even sure if it's worth fixing because you wouldn't be reving that high in a 2.4 anyway. Hope you find the problem soon.

I rev it to 8500.

I think i will ditch the 2.4 and go with a 2.1L. But at first i will measure out the discs if they arent warped. I figured if they where arped. It would drag at 5 6 k rpm. not at 7500 and over.
