Will your cat delete bolt up to the stock catback?

We have two different cat deletes. One is 2.5" and if you are using a 2.5" downpipe, stock downpipe, stock catback or a catback with a reducer in it we suggest using that one. It is $50.

Our 3" is not flanged on the back although we could build it flanged. You would not want to use a 3" offroad with any of the above style systems I just posted though.

What downpipe will go well with stock cat and JIC Cat-back with the taper to the cat?

got it installed saturday, eh, it still kinda hits the pan barely clears it. You hafta kinda pry down the little hanger down so it wont touch it. Mine barely clears it, but I should be okay. It sounds really nice with the cat delete and the greddy ti i just got on, but didnt get a chance to punch it yet, since my car hasn't veen drivin the same since I got rear ended. Hopefully my car will be fixed of its problems by the weeks end 8- )

Can't beat it? Sounds like the fitment wasn't all that great. Ours is lighter and has no fitment issues what-so-ever. Maybe it is just the $150 price tag of theirs that can't be beat?

i have an hks 30th catback, and am looking to complete my turboback... so far im lookin at megan (just cause of price), buschur, hks (only because of brand name so probly wont get it) and helix... i m also wanting to purchase a cat delete or high flow in combination with these downpipes..... as far as the hks 30th, which downpipe can i be POSITIVE will not give me any fitment issues? other than the hks dp obviously.... and what cat delete/hi-flow cat would be suggested? seems this question is what's causing this whole thread to be read, but considering how far i m with my exhaust (simply a catback) i think i have room for flexibility. Thanks

Bump for a good question...

I also have a 3" cat-back exhaust (RS*R ExMag) and simply want to complete my turbo-back WITH a clean fitting 3" stainless steel downpipe and 3"high-flow cat that won't throw a CEL all the time. Judging from the pics below, I believe the intermediate pipe on the RS*R has a slight taper where it meets the cat...

...so does that mean that even with a 3" DP and a 3" HFC I won't be able to have a true 3" flow all the way to the exhaust tip without some sort of customization at the cat-end of the intermediate pipe?

So fuggin confused right now. Megan DP is cheap but some '05 owners have complained it won't properly clear the ACD. Buschur's stuff looks good but I don't know if their HFC will bolt up to my CB exhaust. Road Race Engineering claims their 3" DP and 3" HFC bolt right up my RS*R exhaust, but I've read some bad feedback from a few folks on EvoM about them. And finally WORKS and Vishnu have great stuff but it's priced for a middle aged BMW M5 demographic. At the end of the day it's all stainless steel.

You're running into a problem common to most if not all JDM exhausts (including HKS, Greddy, RSR). Their catbacks all taper at the cat flange. If you want a full 3" exhaust, you'll have to get a shop to cut the taper off and custom weld a full 3" flange for you.

Actually the install would be easier than cutting AND welding. IF the tubing on your catback with the recucer is 3" we can send out our downpipe and a highflow cat and you can just cut your flange/reducer off and slip fit our cat over their tubing. We then supply a nice stainless steel band clamp to hold it together. No problem.
