Anyone know of a 3.5" system (85-90mm)? Who's got one...especially if anyone has a titanium turboback that big?
I think AMS is running a 4" exhaust on their 800+ evo.

2005 evo's have a slightly wider transfer case because of the ACD. Some DP's will not clear it.

thanx shadow1, im still lookin for the perfect dp, i saw the RMR 3" dp, looks very solid and has the nicest bends out of any other one's that i've seen, i bet it doesnt clear the tie bars but ill just get spacers to fix that problem,

anyone runing the RMR 3" dp?? does it taper in anyway? does anyone recommend it?

I do not believe RMR stuff tapers. The developed their exhausts on the older Evo VII which came with the ACD. So it fits fine on the 05 VIII. People make too big of deal about the tie bars. It's not a big deal to use spacers. I needed spacers for my Cusco brace. RMR sells a brace of their own that clears their DP. If I was to buy another DP today, I'd shop for either the RMR or Injen DP's. Works would be on the list too but Works is pricey.

I am very keen on the WORKS 3" TBE with their o2 housing. does the works one clear the ACD as my car has ACD and SAYC?

is their DP and TBE a genuine 3"?

USDM Evo's don't get AYC so I'm not sure. I would give Works a call. They are super friendly and helpful. They are a little slow with emails though. I suspect they get a ton of emails. I'm sure the JDM DP's will work though. They sell 2 DP's: 70mm and 76mm. None of their stuff tapers. The interesting thing about the OEM flanges is that they will accommodate 3" piping fine. I don't see why manufacturers have to taper their exhausts. Before I bought my HFC, my 3" buschur exhaust mated to the OEM cat just fine even though the cat outlet was under 2.5". Works stuff is the same. Because the OEM flange is 3" compatible, stock components will seal against 3" stuff. So you can buy your parts one at a time if you like.

Is the espelir a true 3" I currently have one on the evo but its bolted to stock cat...

does that mean it tapers down to what ever the stock pipe is? If i was to go 3" HFC would there have to be a changes in the flange?

TIA

Espelir is a typical JDM DP. 2.75". No tapering. Retains the stock O2 housing donut gasket connection. Fits up to the stock cat or 3" HFC. Works claims that 2.75" (70mm) actually makes more power on the stock turbo and O2 housing than a 3" DP. However, 3" piping is more readily available and cheaper to manufacture.
