For some reason I just gravitate more toward a metal pipe... and someone that that has good fitment

 

It sounds like you want something that has a good enough fit that would require the car to be in hand. If I built something that fit my car, it very likely wouldn't fit yours as well as you are wanting. I would recommend finding someone local that can make things for you.

 

I run an converted ETS stainless MAF intake pipe with SD and recirculating stock Evo IX BOV. I have taken the MAF adaptor off and put a turbo velocity stack with the biggest K&N that would fit on it. Works well. No issues.

 

The car is currently apart so I can't get any at the moment and don't have any on hand. Once the car is back together I can get some pictures if you need them but it is a pretty simple setup.

 

this is what i was thinking of doing, hoping that the Tial QR would fit nicely in place of my stock ix DV. any pics?

My cold air intake covers most of it ...

I extended the length of the ETS intake tube with 3" silicone hose to get the filter as far as possible to the driver's side to minimize hot air from the radiator.

 

I'm curious to know if there is any harm in running a Tial QR on a SD intake? (sd set up obviously), in other words, no recirculation hose between intake and bov

 

Im running tial qr on a speed density set up right now while Im waiting to buy my speed density intake. my tuner just unplugged the MAF sensor and it runs fine just a whole lot of extra stuff that you dont really need

 

 

I'm recirculating my Tial QR on SD using the Buschur intake pipe and a K&N filter.
