Lol @ "easy fix".
his asking price is nuts. The ad doesn't say much unless I'm missing something.
I'd give him up to $15k if the rest of the car is flawless. That lip needs to go, though lol
not even an engine bay picture.

skip it. car looks in OK condition. that 18-20k price would be decent if the car had no issues, and it has a giant glaring mechanical issue. 15k tops.

Alright well, I found a supposedly all clean 05 MR for 19k, I'll let you guys take a look and see if that's something worth the price https://shreveport.craigslist.org/cto/6092208769.html

Seems decent. A little pricey for an viii, but he has the stock trunk and seems to have taken care of it. Mileage is good.
if I liked it enough, I'd pull the trigger.

A 60k mile 8 asking 19k, I'd go snag that for sure. Take a look at it, ask for compression/leak down tests on the engine, and make an offer.

Guys, my tranny blew yesterday. It's in the shop right now. What are your thoughts on it? Like what could be the problem? Cheers!

That silver MR is a good price. Car looks very clean and only has a few mods. Trunk is a bit ugly but nothing you can't find. I like that the engine bay and interior are mostly stock.

I'd go look at it for sure and see how it drives. Offer him 17k and go from there. it's a good price IMO even at 19k if it's well maintained as the ad says and only has 60k miles
