350whp budget build

Hey guys, I just picked up my 2nd evo a little bit over a month ago. My first evo had basic bolt ons and a CBRD tune. This one has 47k miles and the only mods are a 255 wally and a grimspeed 3 port boost controller. I would like to make around 350-375whp. As my title states it will kind of be a budget build and I wanted to get some opinions and other ideas on what I should do. I would like to stay away from having to do cams as I know most of you are going to say that is one of the first big power adders to do. Heres my list and a few questions.

Exhaust: I feel like there are 3 ways to go here. A traiditional TBE with a standard o2 housing, a QTP cutout into a stock cat back or an o2 housing with a dump tube like a MAP or JMF. Thoughts on best overall route to go?

Fuel System: this car will be running on e85 as I have it all around me. MAP sells a 650whp e85 fuel system for around $800 but I am worried the injectors will be too big (I believe they come with 1800s?). I was also looking at a buschur double pumper. I only want to have to buy and install one fuel system, my end goal would be around 450-500.

I am going to be on the hunt for a stock 9 turbo and manifold. I was just going to get the manifold ported.

I may buy an intake but realistically I was going to leave everything else stock like cams and I/C for the near future. Just wanted to gather your guys thoughts and opinions. Everything minus the fuel system I am going to try and buy used. I live in Ohio and have some a decent amount of tuners in the state but where do you think I should go? I really like what Tom as TSComp has done with these 8 and 9 turbos on e85. Buschur, slowmotion, IPS are all other possibilities that are in state.

Thanks.

Evo 9 turbo, 720cc Densos, Hks 272s, LICP, 3 inch exhaust and an injen intake got me to 365whp @30lbs.

Im sure you could skip the cams, larger injectors and use the rest of that list to get you to 350+ on E.

Was on the phone with both slowmotion and Buschur. I couldn't believe the price discrepancy between the two shops. Both suggested 1000 or 1050 cc injectors, buschur suggested the DW300c fuel pump while slowmotion encouraged the AEM e85 pump. Buschur could give me an e85 tune for $300 while slowmotion wanted around $680 and a clutch install was a $1,300 difference.

For 350whp, you just need full exhaust, some 800-1000c Injector's, and e85. My 9 made 393/411 on stock turbo at 30psi. Exhaust, 272 cams, e85.

720cc is too small for e85, min 1000cc.

Also you DONOT need a double pumper for 500, let alone 350

Intake, Turbo back exhaust, 1000cc injectors, Walbro 255 with the relief valve punched and you'll be making close to 400whp on E85. Keep it simple.

I suppose I worded it funny, that's what I meant when I stated larger injectors if going e85.

Intake, tune, ported exhaust mani (BR does it for only $95), downpipe, highflow cat or test pipe, LICP, ported o2 housing or o2 dump (I have an XS power o2 dump) and cams.... I have everything besides the cams (Im going get GSC S1) and i am making around 290whp currently, but the cams should bump you up to the 330whp-370whp range.

I'd expect 350 with very little effort. My Ralliart spit out 290whp/320tq @ 22psi on 93 with only a cobb drop in, 3 port, ultimate racing turbo back, and tune from Dave at Atlantic Motorsports. I'd assume just grab some larger injectors (ID1050x or ID1300x), walboro 450, and turn up the boost on the Evo a little more to 26-28 and you'd be golden

I was making damn near 350whp with just a TBE, 255, Buschur intake, Hallman Pro, and a crappy Dynoflash tune on pump gas back in 2006. 350 is a super easy goal to attain... you don't need much.

Hello, to the op, I made 329/307 on 91 on a stock 9.8 turbo on my 05 MR at 23 psi (someone previously removed the 8.5 turbo sadly)

it has an HKS intake, Perrin FMIC, ETS licp, Perrin uicp, 1,000cc high z (only at 50% IDC) 255 Wally, bushar exhaust, invidia 02 housing and that's it!!

The dyno was on a light tune at that, I've returned it, installed an evo 9 coldside and I bet I'm every bit on 350 right now! Haven't had a chance to dyno again. With my 272's cams waiting to be installed I should definitely if I haven't already hit the 350 benchmark. On pump.
