budget Build 13 second Lancer

I just wanted to get your guys diffrent configuration ideas.

Budget: $5000

Goal: 13 second Flat or better.

Secondary Goal: Make this car a daily driver with good gas milage!
Honestly I dont want a super fast car that lays down 10's i just want somthing that will smoke a mustang at the stop light.

yeah, uh, i dont think that you are gonna get anywhere near 13s with a 5k budget. RRM turbo stage 1 is already almost at that price.

for decent power go with the Non IC kit and call it a day.

You bought the wrong car if you want a 13 sec car on a budget. I think roadraces lancer runs like 12's i think? That car is pretty much decked out too except for internals.

haha you really want a 13 second lancer? idk about 5000 bucks, chief.

try keeping that 5g's, sell the lancer, get like an S14 240 and dump it into that car without buying a body kit or stupid stuff like that.

other than that, if you manage to prove us wrong somehow with some miracle, let me know what you did.

Yea I agree, save your money, and get a faster car. Or just get an Evo

haha. if you go with a custom turbo set-up I think you could do it. Others have done a 16g6 turbo set-up. I plan to do one as well. under 2k for the custom build. then with ecu, wideband and other mods you can get there within 5k I think. It would just take a lot of work done by yourself and a lot of research.

It can be done! but it will require it all to be DIY, plenty of research, and finding good deals (used parts even). I think everyone else is just jealous you have 5k to spend! LOL

BTW, the Lancer (4G94) IS a difficult platform from which to attain higher hp goals on a budget.

You aren't going to get 13s for 5k. As I'm sure you've seen everyone else say. Sorry.
