Stock location and fitment only for me. If a turbo is an untouched Garrett or other well-known turbo, I would consider it.

It looks like $700-800 worst-case scenario to rebuild the Green. Anyone want a $500 HTZ green? LOL

I'm happy with my atp gtx3582r. I gotta stupid deal on it so i pulled the trigger. Otherwise I would have opted for the gtx3071r. ATP I believe is in the works of creating a gen2 version in stock frame platform.

I haven't seen many reviews or results on them. I don't think I've seen any at the track. In not looking to take any chances on turbos right now. Not to say they aren't fine turbos, I'm just not familiar enough.
I think I read they are ball bearing, though?

Definitely, and I appreciate it. I am frustrated with failures, so I'm not taking any chances this time. OEM or bust LOL

I have a $500-800 budget. Gonna have to go OEM, then 71HTA later.

I'll just leave these pictures here....
Can you say, "$1500 down the drain"?

I would say that you have a high EGT problem... I'd get a EGT gauge in there and use it as a tuning guide. because IMHO you are blowing those turbos too soon.

I can imagine , if your turbine blades look like this then your hot side must be glowing bright red..

You should check with some one who is using the same turbo and similar setup at the track.

I'm open to any suggestions, right now. I tried to keep things as absolutely safe as possible and this is what happens.

While they are a dependable turbo, they easily cost double the amount of the 71HTA and it makes less power. If the prices were closer it would definitely be a good option, but at $1,600 that's kinda steep.

Maybe it's time to upgrade to a ball bearing unit.

i agree with the egt thing, that turbine wheel looks like it died a painful hot death.
are all your blown turbo turbine wheels like that? it looks like it cooked pretty bad.
running too rich or not enough timing can make extra heat in the exhaust.

I would say it is too lean for all out track work and and maybe it is pushing too much boost up top....

I ran an OG FP Green for four hard years of track usage and 30psi on the streets. You are going through turbos WAYYYY too quickly.

What kind of timing are you running on track?
