New Borg Warner S372sx-e

HUmmmmm might have to get me one of these!

Can't even find a place that sells them yet, but it's in the 2018 catalog.

Looks like the compressor can flow more than a super 99, supporting 110lbs a minute.

Most vendors that sell BW stuff should be able to get it for you.

A couple years ago I had an S362sxe on a project car. Absolutely loved that turbo, and for under $1000 shipped with your choice of turbine housing it's a hard deal to beat. Look forward to seeing what this turbo can do.

Is this another cheap/makes a lot of HP option?

How is the transient response on these vs, say, a similar BB precision with a similar housing?

Most likely. All of the other 300sxe turbos are under $1000 new.

Slower, they don't offer these in BB last time I checked.

Don't know how it spools guess I'll have to buy one and find out.

By the time we're looking at a 72mm, I don't think I'm really too concerned about boost threshold. I mean more how fast it recovers on the shift.

Still not as good as a ball bearing of comparable size. Then again you won't lose boost between shifts if you're using nls.

Ball bearing turbos might give you a 100~200rpm better spool if your lucky. Twin scroll and turbine design are much more relevant when it comes to spoiling a turbo. I'm at 40 psi @ 5700rpm with a twin scroll s369sx-e. I would like to see if I can get 40psi by 6000rpm with the s372sx-e. Looks like a walk in the park to get 50psi out of that compressor. Just have to wait and see this spring I guess.
