Injector Dynamics ID1050x vs 1000

Good day,

Can you advise on which injectors would be better and whats the difference between them. Thinking about installing a set on my evolution 5 but not sure which to get.

The 1050 just flows a little more fuel. Can probably eek ~480whp out of them with a high flow fuel pump like a walbro 450. The 1000's will be done before 450whp. Those numbers are for E85.

i think the new id will take oxiginated fuels such as q16

check and verify this also wont corode as much as the fic1100 or id1000

ive changed 2 sets of fic2150 because ive left the car sitting with ethanol for a month

No, the 2000's can corrode with Ethanol. A month is pretty fast though.

Ugh are you serious? That's no bueno...

Guess I dont like the 2150's anymore then. Looks like Im after the new FIC1200's which are actually different than the 1100's as it turns out, ID1300's which are $$ or the FIC1650s which are also $$

FIC doesn't say anything about the 1200's being stainless..

Although FWIW my PTE1000s were fine all these years. But the car rarely sat so...

I’m friends with the owner of ID and a few of the people who work there. I can tell you that the 1000’s and the 1050x’s will flow exactly the same. Only difference is the internals and the 1050x’s have a different spark pattern which is supposed to help with low duty cycle’s. The 1050x is replacing the ID725, 850, and 1000. The goal with then 1050x was to replace all three of those injector sizes

I ran my fic 1450 blue max on e85 for 2 years and pulled them for head job. Feed port was clean but port that goes in manifold was supppper gunked up. Not sure if its cause e85 or what. But the gunk was thick and gum like.
