I have 2 options for t case oil.

1. redline shockproof light
2. diaqueen LSD gear oil sae 90 (part #3775610)

The problem with diaqueen is i have this very old stock left of it atleast 7 years old..and i also think its not enough for the t case ,can i still use it?

I think diaqueen is also discontinued.

So can I go with redline shockproof light ?

 

I wouldn't do shock proof. Redline 75w140 works great though.

 

Gear oil in a can doesn't get old. Dip stick the can and multiply that by the width and depth of the can to see how many cubic inches it contains. Then convert this to quarts.

 

I measured it..i have exactly 1 liter of the stuff left.

The t-case can be filled with it but dont know about the rear diff.

I took out the transmission and the t case..would that effect the rear diff? I mean the oil thats in the rear diff shouldn't be drained because i took the front t case out right? If thats the case then I'm good otherwise im in trouble cause I only have enough diaqueen for one of the diffs.

 

You gotta enough for one or the other and they don't drain together.

 

if the back diff isnt connected to the front one im fine. i will check anyways by opening the fill plug on the diff to see if oil is in there, hopefully its there.

btw mine is a JDM evo 8 so it comes with the ACD/AYC system, the reservoir in the trunk is empty now since i removed the t case, after i fill it up, do i need to bleed the system?

and do the AYC/ACD system use the same ATF SP 3 oil or they have diffrent oils?

 

Make sure you read this on proper filling. Can't just drain and fill.
