Yeah basically 😂😂. I already have Manley ibeams; wiseco 1400hd 10.5 pistons and 625 studs at home. Prob going to bore it .020 over to start fresh. Just going to stay around 750ish and hopefully last me a while.

Do a new writeup on your build/install. I wonder how many combinations there are to upgrade and what the costs are between them all. And if anyone has experienced low compression again after upgrading (30k, 50k, 70k miles?).

With 10.5 CR, your compressions will be higher and you'll need to drop your boost on pump gas.

Keep us posted on your build Big_Mike1. Hopefully, you will find price breaks.

Hopefully it will be a quick build; longest part will be the machine shop as they told me they are swamped with work. They told me its a turnaround of 2 weeks. Should be a simple disassemble > machine shop > assemble and break in.

There is a lot of factors but it seems like the most common and reliable build is manley ibeams and wiseco pistons. I went with the 10.5 because I run e85 all year around. Was actually thinking of going with the STM 11.1 pistons but just decided to go with a combo that seems the most used reliably.

It's staying stock turbo for now but so far I have a brand new oem bare block, oil pan, oil pick up, oil pan baffle, all timing components, oil pump, water pump, full gasket kit, new oem 88mm crank, kiggly high pressure springs and ti retainers, ferrea ss valves, ferrea bronze valve guides, top line revised oem lifters, acl race bearings, thrust washers, L19 head studs, arp main studs, kiggly hla pressure regulator, gsc race balance shaft and im probably forgetting a few things.

I want to go with the Manley TT I beam rods with the Wiseco HD 10.5.1 pistons. For cams I was going to go with the GSC S3 billets but I am being told it will be too much overkill for right now with stock turbo so I think I'm just going to go with the s2 billets. Other than that I'm adding a fpr with a rail and I'm picking up a ported buschur intake mani and tb but everything else is staying the same. Not expecting much more than 430hp or so.

Wait, you have a brand new block but no pistons installed from factory? I read that you will need to hone the cylinders still. Who will blue print and assemble your engine? Also, inspect everything for burrs, damages, and casting errors.

Of course the block needs to be torque plated and honed inspected etc. The motor is staying a 2.0. I am still shopping around for a machine shop. My original plan doesn't seem to be working out with the person I was going to have build assemble and tune my car. I am debating on getting the motor assembled and timed then dropping it in myself and getting the car tuned.

I can understand that some tuners tune it a bit leaner to help big turbos spool, but this is the small stock turbo.
Depends on his boost curve.

Make sure they hone each cylinder to each of your piston specs. They need to measure diameter of each of your pistons and hone to spec. You need to decide what kind if boost tou will run so shop knows how loose to build your engine (for longevity).

What are your part numbers?
