will raise redline to 8100 even though im on stock valve spring dont plan on revving her out only in 4th gear
car is only trapping 123 mph on pump gas and it has a 6262 but i think shifting into 5th gear is hurting trap
i used a thing called draggy app,,,,even though when I drag race I use motorcycle slicks which are tall but for street racing 24.4 tires suck.......
Per Jack's Transmission:
Evo 8 will be 122mph @ 7500rpm
Evo 9 will be 115mph @ 7500rpm
Your results are right on par if you've got an Evo 8 with tires smaller than stock.
Not sure why you think your speed is low.

this tires are way taller than stock
Do you drive this car on the street?
A 235/50/17 is gonna handle like crap... why not get a set of 245/45/17 if you want something taller to raise your trap speed, while still going to handle ok
I've never heard of someone putting a 225/40 on an Evo before

its a smoother drive now though havent tested 4th to see if my speed went up though been raining every day
You need a bigger tire if you are running the stock final drive. You are barely running a 24" tall tire with that tire sire. With stock final drive you want to be around 26" overall diameter. The 235/50R17 will help cause you are around 26.3" overall diameter on that setup. Nothing wrong with a 2.3 drag car. More torque means more tire spin and less likely to break drivetrain components. They are just harder on the clutch. Ideally though if you are building the car for drag racing look into a set of 26" Hoosier QTP. Will work well with the stock final drive and actually help absorb some shock off the launch and be easier on the drivetrain.
