Porting Catch Can - Crankcase Pressure

When running a line from a ported valve cover (10AN) to a catch can would it help to port the can to match the valve cover? Or is it unnecessary?

The valve cover port and line will be 10AN. Should the port at the catch can connecting to the line be equivalent in size?
