OS giken clutch issue
OS giken clutch issue
I currently have a os giken gt touring clutch in a evo 9 mr for ~10k miles. the clutch while drivable, does not do aggressive driving. it'll hold the power that the car is currently making (~350whp), but occasionally it slips. It seems to be temperature related, if it's cold (below 30f) or if it's too hot from aggressive driving (launching, fast shifting, etc.), it'll start slipping. once it does that, i have to refrain from hard driving for a little while and it'll be fine again. I've adjusted the clutch pedal multiple times, setting it high, low and everything in between. I've bled and re-bled the clutch slave, inspected the clutch line. nothing seems to have any effect on the engagement aspect of the clutch. Other related mods are stiffer front and rear engine mounts, solid shifter bushings, solid ds bushings, and solid cable bushings. Has anyone had a similar issue with a os giken clutch or just in general? Also is there any other single disc push type clutch in the market? i do like the push style engagement, as it does seem to make the car shift easier. All that seems to be on the market are race type twin/triple disc clutch for push engagement.
