Electronic Boost Control Issue

I'm having an issue where I can't reach the desired boost (24 psi on pump gas) using a 3 port EBCS. My car is getting up to and then flat lining at wastegate pressure (18psi). It has a newly built turbo. I checked for boost leaks and exhaust leaks. After all those checks I hooked up an old manual boost controller. With the MBC connected I took it out for a quick test around the country roads by my house and I overshot the boost that I was aiming for. I was hitting 28 psi with the MBC. So then I thought it must have been a bad EBCS so I had a new one sent to me but that didn't fix the problem. I'm still on wastegate pressure with the new EBCS connected.

Lets assume that there is no issue with the tune on the car, does anyone have an idea what may be causing this? Is there a fuse or some sort of relay that could have gone bad?

Are you adjusting the wastegate duty cycle tables in the tune? If the car was previously tuned for an MBC, they're probably all at 0.

The wastegate duty cycles have been adjust for the EBCS to target 24 psi. It's an FP Green turbo and I think the wastegate duty cycle is set at like 30% once I'm out of lag and into boost. The tuner had also sent me another file with adjusted wastegate duty cycles to test out, but it made no difference and was still at wastegate pressure. Any other ideas outside of tuning?

Manually activate the solenoid and see if it makes noise.

Can you do that in evoscan or are you talking about just putting a few wires into the plug and connecting them to the battery poles?

Letgetthisdone, I’ll take a picture of the plug this evening but I don’t think there’s much of interest there.

I sent Aaron at English an email this morning since he’s been doing the tune. So hopefully he’ll have seen this before and get back to me.
