weird sound after track day

Guys.

Fresh forged build, been driving it for 6 months and just been to a dyno tune that day and took it to the road track on Tuesday, on the fourth session I heard a flutter type sound coming from the front side of the motor, seemed to still have boost but the AFRs went up at idle somewhat. . Got it home ok still drives fine but this sound is there almost like an exhaust gasket but nothing seems like leaking, oil still full, radiator still full, no smoke from exhaust, I attached a clip, anyone have a guess what it might be or where I should start? Thanks

That sound like you got a exhaust leak somewhere. When you cold start it reach your hands back behind the manifold to see if you can feel any exhaust leaking. Also look for any black soot around gasket surfaces.

Cause this was my first issue I was thinking the worst being internal motor problem but as youve stated cold start it this is to get a water mist spray in the morning which should tell me more where its coming from cause I dont see any gas escaping at all just this fluttering noise and cant pin point it from underneath of looking down. I also read to spray a bunch of soapy water over it too.

Are you thinking on the hot side of the turbo there might be a crack?. The hot side goes into a tomei dump then into the exhaust pipe. This is all 6 months old including the turbo.

i just know that if you completely remove your exhaust up to the turbo... and start it. it sounds like that...

so i would say you either got a crack or a blown out donut gasket.... or something.
as loud as that is , i would think you could find it.

I get it, I had the boost wound up the day before so I'm assuming more boost pushed more pressure into the exhaust hence blown gasket, ive stuck a camera down there and can't see any gas and no spray on cold start just thinking the best way to pull the entire assembly out, like undo the exhaust manifold at the head and then down pipe and lift the turbo assembly with a lift, this way i can inspect the turbo gaskets in tact

found it, I got someone to push a rag into the exhaust and cranked it over on a cold start and you can see water coming out of the dump to turbo join

And i just found something else, i reached in there with a camera and saw there was a bolt missing on the o2 dump, the dreaded 5th bolt in the blind position around the back. Not sure if I should pull the whole assembly out the top which is a lot of hassle or try undo all the o2 dump bolts and drop it out the bottom and replace the gasket and get it back up from the bottom which is hard to get to the bolts and tighten them

either way its kind of a pain... if it was me... i would just take my time, pull the whole thing out the top by taking off the manifold.
