let me clarify... my QM is a race... so its the really light fly wheel...
they will decel rattle.

Been eyeballing one of these myself. I loved the single 4 puck ACT I ran last year. Zero issues and great pedal feel

Never mind, I though the T1S had an HD or XT version, but the XT is actually the T2S. Spoke with ACT and they deliver around 2 weeks after the order is received based on current demand. Gonna pull the trigger on this clutch through MAP today so I can get the discount. The T1S should work for me, but debating on going with the extra torque capacity of the T2S. ACT claims the torque ratings of the T1S @ 700ft-lbs is under rated.

There isn't really a price difference between the T1S-M01 and T2S-MO1

Participated in an AutoX practice session this past weekend in SoCal. Stayed in 1st and 2nd gear, clutch engaged and held as it should. Deceleration, while in gear, exhibits noise but none that I think is out of the norm.

Hows drivability with this clutch on the street?

debating between the ACT twin or the exedy twin. but if i go ACT, dunno if i should go with the T1S-M01 or the T2S-M01. mostly use my car for autox. so need one that will hold up to launching a bit.

anyone else have feedback?

It depends on your torque level whether or not you run the T1S vs T2S. The T1S will hold my car's torque, which was ~538ft-lbs@wheels. However, I have been running the high pressure plate with 6-puck sprung so I am used to the stiffer pedal feel. To me, I would rather deal with the stiffer pedal and have a higher clamping force so I ordered the T2S, which based on the specs is overkill. In theory they should both engage the same, but one will have a stiffer pedal vs the other. UPS shows it arriving tomorrow by 9pm so I will have it running sometime next week.

I got the T2S installed and going, but only put a few miles thus far. Here are my initial thoughts.....
  • pedal pressure is very soft and I initially thought something was wrong. I was expecting it to be like my old ACT HD pressure plate, but it feels as light as stock
  • clutch engagement feels like a stock clutch, which is a far cry from the 6 puck ceramic clutch I was running
  • I didn’t notice amy strange noises, which is common with twin disc clutches

The clutch is smooth and has a light pedal pressure so kind of feels weird coming off the old clutch. I’m gonna verify with ACT this is indeed the T2S since the pedal feels so light. I’ll have more to update after it’s broken in and I can jam on it with 600+whp.

If this is normal for this clutch and it handles the torque as advertised this will be a great clutch for a daily driver.

@240Z TwinTurbo did you go for the Street disc rather than the T1R because of driveability?
Did you happen to get a weight on the individual discs and hub before you installed it?

I went with the street disc because the torque rating was more than I needed. I chose the T2S because I would rather have a higher clamping force and it was rated at 875 torque vs 700 torque of the T1S. With this in mind, I prefer the mannerisms of the full face clutch vs the 6 puck for daily street driving because it is much easier to drive. The way this clutch feels vs the 6 puck ceramic makes driving it more enjoyable.

The overall assembly is heavy, but I didn’t get any specific weight measurements.
