Anyone have issues with the floater plate on their Mod Twin setup? A spring on the floater plate broke on my Evo and prevented gear engagement while the engine was running. Not trying to trash the product just wondering if anyone else had this issue.

How many miles did you have on it? Well haven't evan finished putting my parts on i hope I don't regret running this clutch after how much I have invested in everything.

Shop is talking to ACT. Replacement part should be arriving today.

*Edit. Replacement part in and it’s back to normal. ACT replaced the part under warranty. Not sure what the issue was but it was complicated by loose bolts between the mustache bar and rear diff. My dumb *** forgot to torque them down during install. Maybe it had something to do with the failure? Rear diff was clunking.

Hi everyone, recently bought this clutch, organic and sprung, it was used for like 2500 miles and well, not worn at all honestly but it rubbed
Does anyone have experience installing this clutch in a JDM Evo 5?

See on the yellow section, how it is marked from some "rubbing"
Previous owner said it rubbed in his evo 8, I still have to drive mine, but when installed on my evo 5, everything cleared ok

That’s good to hear! Hopefully the few that have had issues were just install error. I noticed the ACT hub won’t slide all the way down the input shaft splines on mine so I’m gonna be swapping out the input shaft with another one I have sitting here that is does slide all the way in on. Glad I checked that 👌🏽
