Having a issue with my 2004 evo 8. I changed out my fuel pump strainer and same day car started to shut off while cruising in 5th, would lose all power as if you turned the ignition off and would take a couple cranks to start again.
Modifications to it are ff turbo fic1200cc gsc s2 walbro 450 tuned on flex fuel on stock ecu.

The following has been changedCam sensor(new oem)
Crank angle sensor(oem new)
Cop kitSpark plugs(ngk bpr8es)
fuel pump(new walbro 450)
Iacv

Currently only think I noticed helps is when I install a whole fuel pump assembly from another running evo with the same pump. And yes I have checked over the pump install and is good. Maybe bad fuel pump assembly or clogged?

 

Hey welcome to the boards & sorry to hear of this issue. Your engine certainly has mods & this issue could be a number of things. Most of us would recommend running a log of the ECU while driving & if you can duplicate the engine issue, it should turn up on the log
