What cams best suit my 2.3l fp black setup.

Hello all! Wondering if there's a better cam suited for my 2.3l FP black setup. Right now I have kelford 272's that work fine I Just feel like there is probably a better cam suited for my engine.

Also is there a gain going with a skunk2 Im over a cb ported Im and tb? Trying to get a little bit more power out of my setup as I feel like I'm almost at a plateau with it.

Witch cb manifold do you have ? If it’s the 70mm I’d possibly be interested

GSC S3 or R2. English Racing always has in stock.

Yeah, That 2.3 needs more air than those 272's. Im on the GSC S2's & my mods are minimal compared to your 2.3L

Most of us subscribe to the GSC spec cam!

GSC R2s. And keep the CB manifold. You'll lose power almost everywhere if you switch to the Skunk2.

Another for GSC R2's. Check what valve springs you have as you may need new ones to match R2's due to 12.1mm lift and agro ramp rates. They require the same springs as GSC S3's (GSC5041 high pressure beehive spring kit, or Kiggly Beehives).

Gsc R2’s run them with my 2.3 with a CB ported IM with a 70 mm welded flange and 70 mm full blown TB works great , love those cams switched from Gcs S3 . I think with the stroker the R2 are the way to go.

Sounds good guys. Didn't know about the r2s and the s3 seemed a bit much. Been a while since I have looked at cams. Looks like I'll have to get a set!

I have the kiggly street springs/retainers and all. I assume they won't be enough?
