EGR Hoses popping off valve -Troubleshooting
Here is what is actually happening.
You asked the forum for help. A couple of members of this forum that have been working, building, tuning, racing, and driving these cars for over eighteen years came forward and informed you of what to do to remedy this issue. These are not "band aid" fixes, but actual fixes from encountering this exact same issue on many many many of these cars over those said eighteen years.
You are too proud to receive this knowledge correctly, and already have your mind set on some other reason why this is happening so you completely ignore and dismiss the actual reason and remedy based on actual real world knowledge of this issue.
Again, for the people in the back:
1. Put new hoses on. Use OEM or make sure the non OEM hoses you are using are the correct size and right material. The hoses get less pliable with age so they don't grip as well and can slide off. Especially in this area that sees a lot of heat.
2. No, it's not because of positive pressure. See #1
3. Zip tie new (or current) hoses with small zipties.
I've done the above three step process on dozens of CT9A's at this point. It works. It's not a band aid fix if you have logical problem solving skills.
Good luck sir.

You are in way more generous mood than I am. Ain't got no time for this type of arrogant B.S.
~ Knowledge is not always a sophisticated complex way or chain reaction of actions for reaching a positive result, nor is defined as such. Knowledge may well be very simple and obvious many a times.
~ The map sensor has directly nothing to do with the EGR solenoid and its function. The solenoid is ECU controlled based on the readings the ECU gets from MAF, MAP, TPS. There is no way the ECU cannot see boost where boost exists. If while being on speed density the MAP is completely faulty, not reading at all or not reading properly, and there a few reasons that could be, the least of your problems would have been the vacuum hose from one of the regulator solenoid's nipples. Related fault codes would also be up. Since you have no fault code for a malfunctioning EGR , that is another confirmation that the solenoid and plug is in good working order.
~ Most people assume that because a hose is vacuum related one, it cannot pop off. Well, it can, especially if it is old. To consider the opposite is a misconception, as vacuum acts in the same way on a hose as positive pressure , trying to disconnect the hose from the nipple i.e , but instead of pushing the hose off like positive pressure does, it pulls, hence the raised lip most oem nipples have. Overrun vacuum values are and can be pretty high and so the effect.
~ Granted that forums are not always correct in what they give out, as there is enough jiberish presented as knowledge, or the wrong info on matters, but they also contain a vast amount of the right info and knowledge, and if one searches long enough one will find the solution to the specific problem, and there is also cross-reference between forums.
~ Zip ties are a very efficient way of solving such issues, if you do not like zip ties you can use a small metal circlip of either the oem type, or the screw type one, and whatever offers an effective solution to a problem with minimum to none ill effects, is knowledge no matter how else one might call it.
