Running ID2600-XDS

There hasn't been a lot of posts about people running these inj. So figured I'd make a post for anyone with questions or need questions answered.

So long story short we've been having some problems with my FIC 2150 inj. They are fairly new as well. Not sure what the problem is 100% but they need to be cleaned. My brother recently had the same problem but his were brand new and already needed cleaned. Running e85. So I've been talking with my tuner about this but also wanted first hand experience would be awesome. I basically have a fully built aluminum rod motor, 2L, 280 cams, haltech 1500, 6870.

So I guess they don't make id2000 anymore. So my question is has anyone actually ran the new id2600 inj?

I have them in my evo but I don't have any info at the moment. I am still waiting on the motor to be built. I will say I went from FIC to ID injectors in my stealth and I will say the car runs so much nicer with the ID injectors. I was all about the 2150s when I got them for my evo, but like yourself I didn't like the way they worked. I decided to go from the 2150s to the 2600s being I wanted a 1000whp evo. I know ID had a revision on the 2600s and I had to wait a few months to get them. I am looking forward to seeing how they act with my S371.

never had any issues with my 2150's.... but i had a huge fore fuel filter on the car. they were always clean when i pulled them out.

and with stock ecu, they idled and drove really well.

i would think the 2600's are going to be tough to get to idle smooth... but maybe not.

My tuner has tuned a few cars with them and he said they idle amazing for such large injectors. Idk we will see if I ever get my car back.

Shortly after I made this post I heard back from the guy that's going to tuning my car and he's actually tuned several evos with those and even bigger lol But he'll only tune with a standalone ecu, which is fine. But I'm also excited. Ordered them today. Now I gotta figure out what happened to my heads.

something happened with those fic 2150s during a highway 4th gear pull. Drove it to the shop and now during cold starts it spits antifreeze out of my hood dump. Once I warms up it kinda stops and also drives fine. Going to be taking it apart soon and see what happened.
Anyone have any ideas?

Sorry for missing this but I guess it ran super lean during that pull and is causing those issues

I would say your worse fears, headgasket. I would check your oil to see if it maybe milky. I would say highly unlikely but that sounds like head lifted and got some coolant in the cylinders somewhere. I had a similar situation with my talon years ago but at idle it would spit coolant out my dump tube. Actually that was a bad o ring job not so much headgasket, but sounds like what happened to me years ago. Good luck with it, hopefully its not that and is something simple and easy to fix.

coolant out your exhaust is never a good thing. I think you have bigger issues than funky injectors.

Got my inj back from shop that cleaned them. Kinda shocking but we may have tuned them while they were clogged up. Because once I installed inj did a pull with the tuner and was running super rich (10.1).

But once again during warmup it was spitting antifreeze out the dump tube but once the car got warm and started driving it stopped completely. Weird. But we'll be removing the head this weekend and see what the problem is.
