Evo 5 Clutch Stop?
Evo 5 Clutch Stop?
Greetings!
We have refreshed an Evo 5 here in Germany. It came with a Cusco twin disc clutch. Very firm pedal, but works wonderfully although we are only pushing 400 CHP.
It has always been a bit difficult to shift into first/reverse and thru the gears. However, I've recently noticed if I do not push the clutch pedal all the way to the floor (possibly .5 inch or less) everything works perfectly.
This would point to too much throw from the clutch pedal for this clutch, it seems. Does this sound accurate? Nothing seems amiss from the OEM linkage/new-freshly bled slave and full master.
Possibly a clutch stop under the pedal would be ideal? Is there such a thing?
Thanks!
