I am on a 2.0L Long rod. I had big dreams to make gobs of power. Now I am not waiting to just keep throwing money at the car. I am already pushing this past the point I should of. 2.2 or 2.3 with a billet crank would be such a fun set up.
I am adding more fuel so maybe that can help with spool up but most likely not, but for down low the black is a little more laggy then I thought.
Forced Performance launched the UHF ultra high flow series for the FP Green and FP Red 5 years ago. A new turbine wheel was launched to increase power while aiding spool.

Do you wish you would've went with a 2.2 over the 2.0LR? What's your setup and how much power?

Did you get a chance to run the Red UHF for a bit before you ran into issues or just put it on with the new build inbound? I'm excited for ya man! Post up the graph when she's healthy again. I know it's an SS housing but still!

i had intentions of driving it before the build but the car was smoking immensely, not enough to warrant messing up my new turbo kit, so it was fabricated on the hurt motor, most action it got was driving it around the shop, into a trailer, from the trailer to my garage where it is now on jackstands waiting to be torn apart. I’m in the middle of building my garage tho so the work is gonna have to wait

So how did it spool around the shop?? Lol totally messin' with ya! That's a kick to the nuts man, I bet you were amped to drive it. Patience is one of the hardest things to learn!

What's the build sheet look like for your garage? Pole building?

Some reason when I built my motor i was gonna run a giant turbo and rev it to like 9000RPM. Thinking I wanted to have a drag car. That has all changed as this hobby is expensive and I just want a fun back roads street car.
I would of done a 2.3 vs a 2.2 as i would of wanted to keep the 4G63 vs going to the 4g64. I have even looked what it would take to change my set up to a 2.3 and still keep some of my bottom end parts.

i have a 2.0 on with Buschurs 272 cams. a ported intake and exhaust manifold, FP black single 450 on E made 523 on a Mustang Dyno at around 30PSI. I ran out of fuel. I am currently in the process of putting a double pumper in to gain 5 more PSI of boost.

I was in the exact same boat when I bought my car, high rpm high power build was what I thought I wanted too. But after being more realistic with myself, I decided on pursuing a fun street setup as 90% of the time that's what it'll be. I made that mistake with my mkiv supra a few years back, had a 6870 setup on the stock bottom end it was perfect for the street. Then thought I wanted to build it for half mile racing. Slapped a pte 8080 on it and from there on out it was zero fun on the street unless I was on the interstate. Won't make that mistake again!

Going for 600?

Very nice. Buddy has a similar size seems ideal for a one man army to get whatever ya need done. A lot of people run out of room fairly quickly wishing they went bigger, hopefully that's not the case for you!

Once you get the fuel sorted, 600 should be cake on the black with E85. I make almost that on an MHI red with stock intake and exhaust manifolds.

Honestly, as much as it sucks to say, if you want a bit more fun on the street, you might prefer backing off the turbo to a red lol.

Excited to see results from your setup though! I love looking at all the options I could change mine to lol

Yea I could push an FP Red if I wanted to but i will just run what i got. Put some money into carbon things and just take it outside.

Not that it matters what dyno did you Make 580 on.

To the original Post. Something to think about is drive Trian parts. With the extra TRQ it will be a little harder on trans, t-case, and rear end. People with strokers like to change out the final drive or so I have been told.

I'm interested in seeing what you end up putting out as a 2.0LR and fp black are in cars future as well.....
