I just had a HKS hiper exhaust installed on my car. I love the exhaust but it rubs against the body of the car. I asked the mechanic if it was repairable, and he told me no. He mentioned something about a rubber fitting, and how it might break if he moved it too much. Does anybody else have this problem with their catback exhaust system? Is it curable?

 

mine rubs too. i just accepted it and moved on with life. other than the rubbing, its great. it looks real nice.

 

Try the Kart Boy polyurethane hangers. They seem very durable and should provide enough rigidity to allow for some creative adjustment to prevent rubbing.

yeah i had the same issue with my helix exhaust system too. and after changing the stock hangers to kartboy hangers, everything is perfect now! Can't say enough good things about Kartboy hangers! Kartboy custom rocks!
