The dealer has had your Evo for 3 Weeks? OMG!!!! They just got the parts in for it? Are you sure they are replacing just the syncro? In three weeks the have better hand built an indestuctable transmission! I don;t know what your plans are, but one word comes to mind, lawyer! That is crazy, and who cares if they haven't mentioned the mods at this poin, they've had the car long enough for those mods to be outdated! Good luck brother, I hope this gets resolved soon! And I hope for my sake that this doesn't happen to me....

couldn't they have ordered the part and then when it came in then you leave the car there?

This is happeninng to me too...

6500-7000 rpm 4-5 upshifts are always grinding.

I called the service department and they said they couldn't do anything because the could not road test the car at that illegal speed.

Does anyone have a copy of this TSB or know the number?

Flybyevo...

Flybyevo...
They just blew you off.

Have them rack up the car on a lifter and duplicate the problem. no big deal its not going any where if the wheels are 2 feet of the ground

I told the service guy at the dealership and he said he wasn't aware of it, so I printed it out and brought it to the dealership. He attatched it to his invoice. He was a young guy, pretty cool. He didn't say there was any problem or blow me off, let's just see how long they have it.

Oh BTW here is a link to all the TSB's, this comes from a mitsubishi hating website, but I gotta admit they have their $hit together.

here is the TSB...

TSB No: 0322001 NHTSA ID: , November 01, 2003 : Replacement:
Summary: newly configured 5th gear synchronizer sleeve for 2003 lancer evolution manual transmission. *ph
