Check Engine Light Issue

My check engine light has been coming on and off since I've installed the Hyper Exedy clutch (Dealer installed it). Anyway they told me that it's a misfire but there's nothing they can do, the National techs say that its a known issue, the engine is running fine, it's just too sensitive. They have a new software flash that's supposed to be coming out in the next month. WTF? Anyway when the light is on the car runs like crap, massive amounts of clutch shudder to get the damn thing moving.
Any ideas?

Same thing happened here, and it turned out to be bad piston rings. Mits Regional Mngr was at the shop today and he said the flash should be out by this weekend.

You are experiencing the 0300 random misfire problem. Try doing a search on it. You will find LOTS of info! But here is a short synopsis.

The 0300 code is caused by your engines knock sensor 'hearing' noise from the tranny and thinking it is the sound the engine makes while misfiring/knocking.

There are a fair number of us experiencing this problem. I have a particularly bad case of the 0300 right now. I hope Mitsu stops dragging it's feet and gets that ecu reflash available soon!

The 0300 misfire code has nothing to do with your clutch btw. So if you are experiencing lots of shuddering when you let out the new clutch from a standstill, you may have a problem with your clutch that needs sorting...

Since this subject has been well documented in other recent threads, I am closing this one.

SC~
