Shiv:

My car is a daily driver(formerly Armando's car). It currrently has a Vishnu stg 1 and i would like to run low 11's and approx. 400WHP on 93 octane. Of the turbo kits that ATP offer, which one would you recommend based on the performance and spool characteristics (3071R,3037S & GT35R), for sreet/ track use. I do drive approximately 50 miles a day so i also have to take this into consideration.
Any supporting mods necessary(cams, etc)???
Let me know.

They are all pretty much the same until you go metallic 300 cells or less, but that does not look like the stock cat.

I just had a great chat with ATP, Still don't know witch turbo to do. The gentleman on the phone suggested doing the 3071r with the 82ar. The last thing I want to do is spend money twice. Damit.

What are your thougts guys?

Az3ar.

Nino sells a hi-flow ramdom cat and I have see it first hand. It's the most free flow cat I have ever seen. But it does not look like a cat with all the sheilding.

FYI

Dude Go with 3071R with 63ar. I have some insane top end for street car. I am spooling at 4100 now and with high flow cat I will get 100 to 150 rpm better. I cant go with test pipe here in CA its not worth it.

Personally, I'd be going with the bigger 3071. More power with just a lil sacrafice.

Tho, I'm going with the .82 gt 35/40 so what do I know?

how come no one has mentioned the greddy kit that RRE runs and no one has continued any discussions reffering to the BR kit that BR runs. the RRE setup was in scc and it has proven numbers. br recently posted up their numbers and br has a VERY competitive price also advertising more horses. dunno about full spool but david is saying 400 on the 580 kit on pump is not too hard.

why settle for less? i'm not saying any one is better than any other and i realise we all have different hp goals ect. but can some people chime in about the br and greddy turbo kits? (seems hks has already been ruled out, or is too similar to the larger atp.)

and no one has said anything about the ams kit, or has no one purchased it? or no one has worked with it, seen it, does it really exist? i mean they are claiming some nutty numbers and i really wanna see if there any veracity to them. sounds WAY too good to be tru.

Az3ar , are there any details of FP's or Precisions woes with GT series turbine housings , did they originally go down the road of modified T3's ?
Also what do you think about using B covers on the GT3071R to increase gas speed on the cold side to spool earlier ?
thanks A .

I have to go but if you go through the thread you will know why ATP. Greddy needs so much modifcation, AMS is in another thread, its a great kit but it's tooo expaensive last is BR its not even a water ballbearing turbo . I will be back to explain more.

but the buschur makes numbers, sadly enough numbers that are better than yours without being ball bearing water cooled or having a tubular manifold. doesn't that and the price say something?

greddy's complex? what's so bad about complex. it wouldn't seem that your application was completely straightforward. i would agree that ams is another kit and is too expensive but is it the ultimate ultimate? and most importantly does it make the numbers.
