I was hoping you had some info on it. Mitsuorder just got one installed. It looks just like the stock EVO VIII valve, except it is all metal. The expectation is that it won't leak as bad as the stocker, but not sure how much pressure it will hold.

Which cat did you go with?

The UR cat is cheap, but I dunno how it compares to the Helix or Random Tech high flow cats...

Hey guys just ordered the ATP turbo kit among other things. After allot of research and talking to the tuners that are gonna be tuning my AEM we decided to go with the GT35/40R with .63 a/r and 4" inlet. From what they said with my mods i should be at full boost inbetween 4000-4500 rpms with that turbo. Cant wait everything should be here 7/15 or 7/16 and it will go in that weekened. Plan is to run 20psi for the street tune and boost it up to about 475-500whp on race gas. I will keep everybody posted on how things go and post pictures soon!

All I can say that ATP did well. Around me more than 10 people just got this kit. that's Just around me. People i know and people I see almost every day.

 

I am thinking about getting some high flow exhaust manifold next week do you guys think it will make my turbo spool better? I hope it wont crack.

 

it'll be fun to see what someone will put down with cams/full turboback with testpipe/big fmic (with big i/c pipes) and good tuning!! i'm guessing easily 420+awhp on pump and 450+awhp on race.. btw, i'm talking about the 3071 kit..

 

Yup 430~440 is more than possible with 3071 on pump gas.

 

Ya so now just waiting to get everything here and then take it to Portland for Horsepower Freaks to tune everything. How have you been liking the turbo kit so far Az3ar? The mods i will be running are listed below let me know what you guys think of my goal of 500whp. I eventually want more but that is gonna be pushing the stock internals.

Im working on getting the JIC Tubular Manifold right now. Hopefully it will be here in time for the install of the turbo. From all the manifolds i have looked at i seem to like this one the best "let me know if you guys know of one that is better?" Also im ordering the Buschur Intercooler which im hoping will get here in time too "Agian let me know if you think there is a better option?" I guess we will see soon. As soon as everything is installed its going to the tuner to get everything tuned and ill post numbers

 

Great parts. couple things. I heard bad things about HKS cam gears as they come loose or something because they have 3 points only( might be wrong) . . JIC mani is the best but I heard it will crack ( I am sure it will) turbo is to heavy for mani. FMIC, I would get APEX as I have seen one in person and it was work of art. on top of all that I would add injen intake and upper hard pipe. 500whp you will see in 2 weeks .

Ya i heard those rumors about the HKS cam gears too but i have been running them for 4 months now with no problems. Best i could get out of the stock turbo was a 12.4 but that was with allot less mods then what i posted above. Anyway the JIC header im not too sure about i love the twin scroll desgin on it but havent heard anything about cracking and as far as the upper intercooler pipe i got the Buschur upper pipe. I was looking at the injen but i like the less bends and shorter pipe thing i think buschur has somthing there. As far as the intake i have a 4" inlet on that turbo and injen doesnt make a intake that big so im stuck to get one created special..

 

Well, I've been waiting for a month now and as far as I know they haven't shipped yet so don't hope too much
