Well i know they were waiting for the 3071 turbos or somthing like that. Another reason i got the 35/40r. I hate waiting! But still that is a really long time i would call them and see what is up!!

 

Really don't know why, the only reasons I got was that they waited for the intercooler pipes to start with then they didn't get parts from Garrett and so on. I changed my order to the 4" compressor inlet and .82 a/r turbine which might have increased the delay some as well. I'll end up spending all my money on over seas phone calls instead I'll give them a call tonight or tomorrow night

 

Yea, you got the turbo I think I should have got. I'm afraid I've gone too big. But I plan on running a similar setup as you, so we'll see how it goes. It'll be nice to have someone to compare dynos too

Ok guys, good good news. I still did not install my high flow cat and I had full boost of 23 psi at 4000 rpm at 4th gear. I could not believe my eyes. I am so happy singing on the streets that this huge turbo gave m full boost with stock cat at 4000 rpm . So the question is can I make it spool like stock?? Will see, and I hope so. Today I heard my fuel pump or I heard it being louder in buzzing in and out is that normal??? Never noticed that sound before??? How can I tell if my W 255 fuel pump is damaged or something?? I am not hitting any fuel cuts but it sound kind of weird. It does not sound like other huge pumps I had before on different car. It was like bzzzzzzzz then bzzz then bzzzzzzzz then bzzzz . Different tone and I could hear it standing out side the car next left back door. Any help????

 

The pump is driven at different speeds depending on throttle position. So it will change note as you drive around. No big deal. They tend to get louder when the tank is low on gas. Nothing to worry about But it's always a good idea to get a fuel pressure gauge when dealing with bigger turbos.

thanks shiv, great help. you are right my tank is kinda low on gas. however, the different tone was while the car was parked so it was not under different loads?? maybe that's how it spouse to be and I am just being crazy.

 

Ya my 200sx had a 255 in it and i remeber it being loud too. I hope the one im putting in the evo doesnt get that way. Oh ya Az3ar how you like my new manifold!!haha...

Az3ar is it just me, but I know tuners on this coast will weld cat heatshields around test pipes, and I know a cop isnt going to take off your mid pipe to see if its a cat or not, very easy solution. And you say you dont want a cop to look through the hood and see you dont have a cat, the cats arent very visible from the hood, at least I dont think so from working underneath the cars.
