[QUOTE=Smogrunner]Az3ar bascially has a Vishnu stage 0 with the atp 3071kit. This is the dyno chart of a Stage 0. As you can see, Az3ar has picked up around 85hp by just bolting it on.... (and tuning of course). Not too bad.

85hp?, looks like about 40hp gain.

237.5whp => 323whp, pump gas

Smog posted four curves:

- stock
- XEDE stage 0
- ATP 3071 xflashed
- ATP 3071 xede

The 85whp gain was from XEDE stage 0 to XEDE w/ATP 3071

The chart says XEDE 97 Oct as this is what was in the tank, but it was detuned and limited to minimum wastegate boost (~20psi) as the expectation was Az3ar would be using the map on pump gas. With more boost they made closer to 370whp if I recall correctly.

Thanks, I was just on the phone with Pual and he just needed to confirm with his manager that it was ok to send a .82 replacement housing to me. They had them in stock so it should be fast.

Who is recommending the .82? The .82 is horrible laggy for a street car.
Stick with your .63.

The .82 will not give you any additional ponies at 25psi or lower. Its only going to add lag.

Honestly nobody really recommended it. I’ve been reading like crazy about turbos and a/r and I was afraid that the .63 housing would be giving too much exhaust back pressure and not giving a good top end. I asked ATP how much more rpms I would need and I think they said something like a couple of hundred more. Then I have quite a few more mods on my car than they have on their test car. Like tubular manifold, cams, cam gears, stand alone Motec ecu, 4” suction piping without MAF/MAS so I was thinking this would reduce that extra lag and I would gain more on top instead?

thomas... i'm gonna have to agree with 94AWDCoupe on this one... you definitely do not want to go looking for more lag.. if you wanted more hp then you probably should go with a different turbo..

the .63 A/R is the right match for this setup.

That graph was of a typical Vishnu stage 0 car and not Azar's car. Azar's dyno graph is somewhere in this thread.

Ok, 180 degrees turn, change of plans, I’ll try the .63 housing and if I don’t think it’s ok I’ll just order the .82 and try that out

Hey, Az3ar, can you tell me where the oil feed line comes from? Do all the oil/coolant lines retain their stock locations? Any pictures of the turbo kit from above the engine bay?

everyhting retain in stock location. I will do my best to take a pic for u today. it does not matter which water inlet or outlet go in the turbo. for the oil the one on the top is oil feed the bottom one is oil return line. if you take of your stock turbo you will see that one of the hoses on top will leak some oil. and the rest are water . Dont do it if you have no experiance you could screw the whole thing up. it took me good 6 hrs with my friend's help and his magic tools.

It seemed he was refering to that post. Now that I reread it again, I see the different graphs. Not ripping on the kit but a good comparison would be to run the same car on the same tune (timing and fuel) at the same boost level with between turbo's, that will tell you the true difference.
