There is a nice exit from the trunk area through the driver side, just behind the rear wheel well. There is a small set of flappers that you could use to run the fuel lines outside of the car.

Thank you, Tom.
Thank you, Tom.
I do not understand your question. what powerbox are you talking about?

The blue box is a battery tray kit made by Moroso, the rest of the stuff was custom made.

In the pic it looks as if you are running the fuel lines through the interior of the car. For safety wouldn't that be a big no, no. Also do your rules prohibit that in some way, at least without other proper safety equipment.

I have to drop the tank now and pop the hose up in the trunk with grommets... Also adding steel bands to go over the top of the surge tank to further brace it. I think just using the base screwed in to the trunk could shear the tank off the base with any of these surge tanks if you rolled the car at speed.
The main reason for having a surge tank is if you are going around corners fast enough and things can happen... Having a tank full of fuel flying around the trunk while the car is rolling isn't a pretty thought...

How easy is it to convert the current fuel lines to AN braided lines for the stock pump/return lines? What special adapters do you need to use if any? I have never checked out the stock pump, but am considering a staged upgrade for the fuel system. I would first run new lines and just do a new filter, rail, and regulator, so I would just run new braided line to the stock pump outlet and return inlet. The second stage would probably be close to what you are doing with a new pump and surge tank. The last stage would be a full fuel cell and get rid of the stock system all together.
BTW ATL makes a cell for the Evo. Has anyone used this or know where it mounts ideally?

TearItUpSports,
ATI offers a 12 Gallon 'Well Cell' that fits in the well created by removing the Evo's spare tire. It is pre-set with AN fittings. It looks awesome and seems like it would perfectly comlipent GT40's beautiful handiwork.
Cheers!

Well, time for an update- I am selling the fuel system and going back to stock for now. It worked well and I could drive on the track till the gas gauge went to e without running lean. The thing is, I am trying to make the car stealth for socal so it is for sale.
PM any serious offers. The whole system is at www.roadraceengineering.com for anyone local who wants to see. Everything is in good working order.
