Pitting tuners against each other certainly isn't the answer. It wasn't the intention, and shouldn't be taken there.

Well, thanks for the comments guys. I stand by what I said, I know Shiv did it intentionally. I had several people PM me for calling shiv, to quote another member, "his passive aggressive bull****." If you think it was just me overreacting, then it was just me. But, if you look at the references to doing it right, not using a drag race motor, doing tuning for "real" racing, doing things that last for more than 10 seconds at a time, you'll get the picture. I mean do you think David is a moron? That he just gets some sandpaper and a few wrenchs and bolt's these things together? It's been covered before, David B called Shiv out the last time he started this crap, that you can't just make passive agressive remarks and play dumb. Do a search, Shiv has done this at least 10 other times.

for argument's sake let's say that someone had come right out and said that you suck, you are incompetent and so is your tuner. would that comment have any technical merit? would you have taken it seriously? would it have helped you with this engine build, tuning, and operating it?

if not, then why are you wasting time reading things into Shiv's comments that just isn't there? he *didn't* call you stupid or your tuner. people can draw their own conclusions about what is being said here, and your opinions about Shiv as a person have nothing to do with the issue at hand.

and this is totally absurd to have to even say, but I'll say it anyway because absurd seems to be your theme. I am not a Shiv fanboy. I have participated in forum discussions and email lists that he was also a participant of going back to at least 1999 and I've never bought anything from him. we have disagreed plenty of times. I'm not on his side here because there is no "side". this is, or was, technical knowledgesharing and not a political debate or boxing match.

 

You, and whoever else agreed with you via PM, need to take a deep breath and chill out. If you don't find merit in my post, that's fine. But trying to read into it in order to come to your predetermined conclusions which is based upon your biases and pre-conceived notion about me and my like/indifference/"hatred" of someone else that I have never met in person is silly.

I think some people have a tough time distinguishing between real-life relationships and those that are created and sustained over internet forums. They are two VERY different things. How many times have you met someone in person that turns out to be exactly like what they appeared to be over the internet? Sure, you can gauge someone's base of knowledge based upon what they say and how they say it. But deriving personality traits from their words is a bit far-fetched unless you are a profiler for the FBI. Which you might be, for all i know

Perhaps you will find some more of my "passive agressive bull****" in this post. I'm sure if you read and re-read it several times, you can find some evidence. However, my suggestion is that there are better ways to spend your time than trying to create drama where there is no drama to be found. If I have some s*** to strir, I'll come out and say it as clear as day. Until then, relax and get on with your life.
