Gains from listed mods?

Hey I am reconsidering my strategy to modding my evo, and was wondering what kind of gains and 1/4 mile times I can realistically expect from the mods I'm planning on. So far the car only has a K&N intake on it. Here's what I'm thinking:
  • HKS Downpipe
  • Helix Test Pipe
  • Greddy Ti Catback
  • AVC-R
  • SAFC-II
  • Mail-In Dynoflash Reflash ($199 dollar one)

I'd probably run out of money after that. Next up would be some IC piping, clutch, BOV (recirc), cams, cam gears, fuel pump, and injectors. I would probably stop there. What kind of power do you think I can expect from the listed items, and then total? Would you add anything else or mod it differently? I know that's a subjective question but I want to make sure I'm not missing anything. Basically I was wondering about timing problems I may have or maybe if the stock ignition system couldn't keep up. Let me know what you think. TIA.

Or I could put it this way:

You've got $3,350 to blow on your car. What would you do?

I have helix turbo back w/ s-afc and a boost controller and i got 342hp and 351 lbs/tq on 1.6 bars of boost and 91 pump gas. You should be able to get a litlle more then that because of your flash. good luck!

Those #'s seem really high unless you are talking hp at the flywheel? With your set up on 91 oct gas I would say you should run mid 12 second 1/4 mile with a good driver. As far as power goes I would say approx. 285 to 300 at the wheels.

Thanks for estimate lil' evil evo. I think I'm going to add a Walbro fuel pump to the equation also. Dynoflash reccomends getting it before the reflash since it has such a big impact on the A/F ratio. I'm also thinking of ditching the HKS DP and Greddy Ti because of cost issues and going with Buschur. That should save me a good 500 bucks. Sure- not titanium, but still good gains and still pretty light. So here's the list of goodies I'm planning on just cuz I'm excited about it:
  1. Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
  2. BR 3" Catback w/ Magnaflow Muffler
  3. BR 3" dp
  4. Helix Test Pipe
  5. Defi BF 60 mm Boost Gauge
  6. Defi BF 60 mm EGT Gauge
  7. Defi BF 60 mm Fuel Pressure Gauge
  8. Defi BF 60 mm Oil Pressure Gauge
  9. Defi Control Unit II
  10. Apexi AVC-R Electronic Boost Controller
  11. Apexi S-AFC Version 2
  12. HKS Type 0 Turbo Timer
  13. Dynoflash Fireball Reflash (Through the Mail)
  14. LancerShop Triple Full A-Pillar Gauge Pod

And I've got the RMR CF boost gauge pod at home ready to go. I'm pretty stoked. Whadya think

If your SAFC2 settings are per Buschur you should be at the 300awhp threshold.
Oh crap, you need a air intake - quick

Hey ya that's actually a good idea- I'll bring the car over to Buschur and have them tune the SAFC-II and the AVC-R and then I can pick up the exhaust while I'm at it.

When I bought the car it came with a K&N- not really optimal but I can't really justify droppin the cash on a new intake when I've already got one. Dynoflash's website says they showed a 11 whp difference when they switched the K&N out for an HKS though. SO I don't know--maybe one day if I get bored .

Dude, if you have that much money to blow, ditch the dynoflash/SAFC and get an AEM EMS. You'd be surprised how much more power you can extract.

With my set up

i made 322 whp 300lb/ft at 23 psi on 93 octane

probably around 370-380 whp

my engine mods are

E-manage, boost control, 780cc injectors, fuel pump, 3 inch exhaust, intake, and bov. Those are my main power mods and i was able to gain 100 hp.

I wouldnt go with an EMS unless you want to give up drivability. Plus, with only 3500 to spend. You'll be able to buy a lot more power mods with the money you spend on EMS

Ya I had originally planned on the EMS, but I was forced to reconsider; it just isn't a realistic option for me right now. Too expensive and almost too many options for me- I'm new to this and I don't feel like I have a really good handle on it yet. The only thing I am worried about is timing. My overall goal is to have a car running high 11's with the stock turbo. Buschur has done it with the mods I am planning on in the longer run. So hopefully by this time next year I'll be there performance wise, and then I can get some nice rims, maybe some springs, and a nice sound system.

Question on the injectors though- would they be necessary with the fuel pump, or could I add them later when I do the head studs, cams, cam gears, and IC? And one more thing: I was going to do the BOV later too (Thinking HKS recirc or the one BR puts out with their upper IC piping). But I was thinking with the higher boost levels the AVC-R will be putting up I may have to do it now. Thoughts on this? I'm really stretching my budget tight as it is. Thanks a bunch for your help. I can't wait to start adding this stuff.
