Hmmm...so apexi products aren't as reliable as Blitz nor HKS??

I didn't say that! Apexi makes some excellent products - I have the Apexi PFC + Commander in my fd and I love it. I am just stating that their boost controller isn't as good as some of the others on the market - espically from a boost control point, though it may have some features that others do not. The fact that that it does not control boost as well as the Blitz & Greddy coupled with it's huge size is why I wouldn't buy it - but that is my call, and to each their own.

What is the stock boost level on the current evo's? and what turbo does it have?

On an awd eclipse you can run low 13's on stock exhaust... easy... and it dosent flow near as well as the Evo's near straight pipe design (from what i've read).

300hp is very easy to obtain for a e/t/l so i'm sure its wont be hard to put an evo at 300... arent they allready at 280 in japan... and thats a possible under-rating?

my opinion is, 3" dump pipe with 3" piping all the way to the muffler with an electronic boost controller, ram pod air filter with cold air induction and heat shield. And lighten your car throw away teh air conditioning, power steering, stereo system, reduce the weight as many as possible. cause thats the cheapest way and most effective way to meet your goal hehehe

Also I felt that this was a good downpipe. Just w/ proper exahust and higher performing cat(straight cat if you prefer), and that would be a good exhuast combo.

Perhaps not, but, here in the states, if something broke from one of those little taiwanese companies, getting it replaced/fixed would be a pain in the posterior. With HKS, APEXi, and Blitz, they have set ups in the US, which would make dealing with them in the case of problems arising alot easier.

Claudius, what did you think about the Turbo downpipe from Power Engineering?

erm ishi....did apexi power fc have it for an evo 4? anyway i will reckon the profet-B as it is so simple to use and no hassle to wind up your boost anytime anywhere with just a click. and also please do lighten your car which not adding weight to your car i.e putting some stereo system to your car ok?

I highly doubt people would want to tear up their brand new car to go drag racing.

You have to have too much money in my opinion to destroy a good car like the US Spec EVO. Wait until there are more than 4500 out on the roads before you start peeling it apart.

Who's taking bets that it'll take some inexperienced driver less than a month to destroy one in a wreck?

It takes money to get 370bhp. You'll definately need a better fuel pump. The standard one is near its limit. It's the same one that's fitted to all Lancers. Companies have a habbit of using standard fuel pumps on their high performance models.

Any strengthening mods are up to you. Some would argue that you don't need them for 370bhp but some (including Ralliart) would argue that you do. Reliability is a grey-scale.

So no boosting beyond 1.5 bar on the stock fuel pump right? what about the injectors. Also does anyone have any info on fuel pump replacements and maybe price too?
