grounding kits, does that stuff work?
I did a search and it seems to work for some but the ones that did notice and improvements were the ones selling it. Do you have one and does it really work? I heard you can just use any 4 guage wire?
if you want to save a ton of money just go to any audio store and buy roughly 12feet of 4g power wire and at least 10 gold plated ring terminals to fit... should cost no more than $20ish then go home, measure out where you want them, make em and you just saved yourself over $100 easy! as for do they work... there are various opinions... some say they feel the powerband is more consistent, some say they have better gas mileage, some say their radio/lights work better etc etc etc.... it would overall be up to you... I think that for $30 or under it wouldnt be a big waste of money, but thats just me!

ok there is posts in the DYI forum that tell you exactly where.. you will need to removed the batter to get acess to the tranny as well as find a 10mm bolt that will fit in this one mount on the transimission especially for the grounding kit. Do yourself a favor and order packs of 5 or 10 of 8 or 4 gauge gold wire terminals, if you buy them in pairs your paying way to much. i paid the same for 5 packs as for doubles. Also unless you have a nice crimper get the 8s, the 4s are tought to crimp without an audio crimper. online should have the proper lengths to. I ran silver wire. You can definately feel a much smoother idle, but theres no way i would be paying $150 for this mod. DIY is the only way to go, but well worth it at the same time. I really enjoyed doing this mod. Make sure to scrape away any paint your connection as well and clean the area with alochol so you have a very solid connection.
Does it work for the butt dyno? No. Even if it does increase hp, it's only about 1-5hp, which isn't significant for the butt dyno to feel. However, it is one of those "in theory" should work better mods for the electrical system. There are logical explanations for it. I made my own, it's not that expensive and looks cool under the hood.

I bought the Evo specific kit from Mitsubishi, made by sunautomobile.
All I can say is that after the installation I felt NO difference, but after 100miles of driving I would say that my car is smoother after 180Km/h. maybe a placebo effect, I don't know.
Save your money and buy Sunauto hyper voltage system and/or Ralliart Spark Plug wires.

I installed the sun automobile hyperground kit, and i noticed a big difference. Its weird cause I felt a difference where i least expected and no difference where i expected. It improved throttle response, and pick up a lot. Like it feels like the powerband smoothed out. But the headlight brightness, audio interference, electrical stability is the same. I know its not a placebo because I let my brother and friends drive my car without knowing, and they swore I installed something in the car.
I guess the performance gains vary from car to car. I think it's one of those "it can't hurt" mods. So the DIY ground kit is probably the most economical way to do this. I definitely would not pay $100+ for one of these kits. I built mine for about $45 in parts because I used monster 24k plated gold connectors.
As for the performance gains, I also gained a lot of throttle response. That was the most noticeable. Overall power felt more or less the same. My idle w/ the AC on was also noticeably smoother.

Yeah, I noticed no real difference.. But it was a worthwhile preventative mod, especially as the car gets a little older and the stock ground points begin to build up some corrosion.
The only thing I did notice was the car started a little easier.. No notable improvement otherwise.
