Quietest exaust

i know this has been covered more than once. so if you would like to refer me to the link that is fine...

or if someone can just answer the question that would be appreciated as well.

I just had my turbokit put on and my buschur exaust with the magnaflow muffler went from loud to REALLY FU_KING REDICULOUS LOUD. I need to do something about it because i have had the car back for 2 days and i have already been pulled over for having an "excessively loud muffler".

i am probably going to try to weld a couple of resenators in there before i spend the money for a new cat-back, but assuming that doesn't work....

What is the quietest exaust i can get?

STOCK!!!

I know what you mean. When I put in the HF cat, my exhaust went from pretty good sound to bit too loud. So now I'm running with the stock cat, until later when I feel like little more noise, I'll put the HF cat back on.

I have the 3" turbo back with HF cat and magnaflow and at first i thougt it had a perfect sound level, but over the past few weeks after it kinda got deeper and quieter. Maybe it is just me getting used to it, but i don't know why a turbo upgrade would make the car any louder. I know WORKS is making something that fits in the exhaust that reduces the noise level. I forget what they are called, but you may want to contact them.

the reason it is so much louder now after the turbo upgrade is because the housing on the exaust side of the turbo is much much larger then the stock one, hence there is much more air flowing through it at all times.

the car is now louder at 3k then it used to be at 6k.

not that i dont' like how it sounds...it's awesome.....i just hate being pulled over constantly

I recall seeing posts that Fujitsubo exhausts are the quietest.

Greddy has just released the SP2 line of exhaust for the Evo. The Greddy exhausts are known to be quiet with the exception of the Racing Titanium.

Rez I know what you mean with th exhaust being way too freaking loud. My Greddy Ti is REALLY starting to get to me. I've tried the silencer and that works really but I hate reducing my 3+ inch exhaust to 2 inchs at the silencer. I'm actually in the process of trying to trade it for something quieter but for now I just have to deal with it.

The Fujitsubo exhaust is supposed to be the quietest but I've heard it isn't 3 inchs all the way through (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

I like my HKS DP and Catback. Near stock idle, just a little bassier. But at WOT, , it screams.

Are either of these exhausts 3inch all the way through (even the resonators?)
