Improper Clutch Bleeding

How do you know if you have air in the clutch line? What are consequences of air in the line and continued driving. I have installed stainless braided clutch line and bled (properly...or so I thought). Also had the driveline fluids changed to BG Synchroshift and Redline Shockproof. now the shifting just does not feel right...it is notchy at times when it should be smoother. I feel slight resistence when shifting from all gears at times. Any insight?

If there is air in your clutch line, your clutch would not be fully disengaging when you step on the clutch pedal. A good way to check this is by putting the car in first gear, stepping on the clutch, and revving the engine. If your car starts creeping forward at any rpm, you probably need to bleed your clutch line again.

The consequences of shifting without a fully disengaging clutch is damage to your synchros. Just imagine trying to shift your car while only stepping on your clutch pedal half way down EVERY time.
