there is actually just as many evolutions on 93 pump gas that dyno at ~210 on our dyno... yes, there is a big difference between 91CA and 93 east coast, but either way they have the same knock issues (just like the two STi graphs... one from Vishnu and one from KTR)

Shiv, the ramp rate was indirectly chosen by our customers. We had several Vishnu customers that wanted to make sure we were using the same ramp rate as you. So i called up you shop and asked the person who answered the phone what ramp rate is used there, and 115 was the answer. If you feel that this is a reason why my 93 octane numbers seem high, I'd be more than happy to strap it down again and knock some more runs out (the humidity is in the 50's now, so it would be great to put some more power down). And i could scale it nice and purty for david (but i would still need to know what scale you use over there.

fatbastard-- you're 93 numbers don't seem high and i'm not questioning anything that you are doing or implying so please take no offense. As for the ramp up rate, 115 is a bit high for me so I don't know who you talked to on our end (I'm the only one who tunes on the dyno). For a 3rd gear pull, it results in a pull that lasts only lasts 7 or 8 seconds which is a bit short. FWIW, we use a ramp up rate of 100 for moderately powerful EVOs. Maybe 110 for an EVO that puts down 400+whp. Subarus, OTOH, is another story since their gearing is so much taller.

Peace...
Shiv

no offense was taken... i do 90% of the tuning without doing runs. As i'm sure you know, te reason to spend eddy current dyno prices is for tuning. I've done the runs at several ram rates, and 115 seems to resemble 3rd gear acceleration times on the street. Can't remember who i spoke to, but i'm positive it wasn't you when i asked about the ramp rates...

for what it is worth, it's funny when i am addressed as fatbastard...
