Thinking about going back to stock intake

My MAF gives erratic readings, and I'm thinking of just going back to the stock intake.

I have the Buschur FMIC, and upper i/c pipes, and my stock intake won't fit back on.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to a stock like intake that would work with my BR upper i/c pipes?

Anyone getting erratic maf readings with the HKS RS?

What intake are you using? You mention the BR FMIC and UIC pipes, is it the buschur one? If so, I'd give them a call to find out what's going on.

Sorry, I should have explained better. My intake is just a stock intake, with an open air filter. When I put on a AEM Short Ram, my car wouldnt even allow me to go WOT, without it throwing codes like "overboost", and things like that.

And yes, my car is tuned, but you can't tune out erratic maf readings.

I just installed the HKS RS tonight. I am pleased with the butt dyno. I have a 3" TB catless, and an SBC-id @ 20PSI to redline. It seems to be damn fine unit. On my WRX, I had a Blitz LM intake. That one functioned great as well, but it wasn't CARB legal (When I lived in CA), so I tried out the AEM CARB approved intake...maf readings were hosed, damn car would barely even rev out. My point being, it is hit or miss.

I can see where your MAF readings might get thrown for a loop with a filter bolted to the stock intake pipe.

My advice to you, try the HKS RS. I am hearing nothing but good things about it.

PS, how is that buschur FMIC? How far does it sag below the front bumper cover? How much cutting/melting of the undertray is required?

Thanks,

I just can't get myself to spend over $300 for a filter and a pipe for the HKS RS...
