Poll: Cone filter in the rain: Any problems?
I did a search and came up with very little. One person said his Evo seemed to run poorly in the rain and a few others had created covers for their cone filters to keep rain away. Is it a problem or not to drive with a cone filter in an Evo in a driving rain? Please post your experience.
absolutely no problems...and i live in florida where the rain is INSANE...just make sure its not a cold air one which is located very low aka puddle sucker's and you'll be fine. there are many many people running aftermarket cone filters. my aem has been fine for around 6 months now
unless your crusin with your hood open Its not a problem I mean we dont have cold air, If it was routed into the bumper than yeah but other than that no worries dude, and my car seems to run real good in the rain for some reason.

about the only problem I know of is with my buddy's car, he has the Gialla c/f hood that has a vent right above where a cone filter would sit in the evo, rain can go straight through the hood to it.
