Major props to Vishnu. Great job!

ok, after reading the article, it looks like the EVO finished first in almost all the performance categories. It got second because of the "streetablity"(comfort) scoring. Who cares.

Hello,
New to the forum. Was thoroughly impressed with the article in Car & Driver (No, not the MTM RS 6 part as I believe a stock RS 6 could produce similar #s) and was wondering if any members here have personal experience with Vishnu? Thank you for any info.

Vishnu is one of the most respected tuners on EvoM. There are many members that have Vishnu modifications. There was even a poll as to how many people had had their cars done by Vishnu. Try a search.
Careful though as “which tuner” is a fairly passionate debate.

I got to know them after the C & D Four Cylindar shootout last year. I asked around, read, and heard good things about them. Shiv tells it like it is, but not necessarily what people want to hear. If he tries something and it doesn't work he'll say it doesn't work. It seems as though this group is very concerned about their reputation.
Vishnu is the sole distributor of the Xede interceptor computer, which makes him unique in the US Evo tuner industry. It's one heck of nice little gadget, IMO.
Bounce around in the threads here, you'll get a feel for them.
according to the article the reason it took second was the total track time. like .2 off the caddy. Beat it in everything else, though 0-60, braking, and road course, just not the total track, and Vish had a couple of setbacks on it. You guys should read it, its a quick read I was sitting in a B&N and finished it overr coffee.
As much as I want to see a 56k 4-banger destroy 150k+ V10's, whatever happened at the track is final. I have to agree with comment in the mag about no whinning. Even that Mosler didn't get to finish, but we all know how well it COULD have done. Clutch or IC piping, it's part of the preparation and the race. It is extremely unfortunate, and I hope Vishnu can even compete in the open class next year.
I think this link shows a better picture of what happened, which I haven't seen in the forum nor the mag:

Mad props to Vishnu for representing with their Evo.
For those interested in a complete summary of the results in a spreadsheet, I've posted it here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=103219

Dahlbach's Gti should have competed...now THAT thing is a monster

Congrats to Shiv and the Vishnu team!! I'm glad i went with my instincts and picked their piggyback software...now i just need Shiv to make another trip to turbotrix so i can get tuned

. I know everyone has their favorites. I've been reading about Vishnu even before I bought my car but have yet to read anything negative about them. Hearing only positive things here as well only reinforces what I already thought was the case. I'll try a search, thanksBen

it's the LS-6 corvette engine. Here are some stock data for you, Evo_toy:
400 hp at 6000rpm
395 lb ft of torque at 4800 rpm
0-60mph - 4.6 sec
1/4 mile - 13.1
top speed of 163mph
Brembo brakes with 14inch rotors
Tremec T56 6 speed manual
StabiliTrak traction control
Performance tuned suspension
This is a 4 door sedan that weighs about 1000 pounds more than the EVo (3949lb)
So, I don't know why you're disrespecting this car like a fool you are.

Anyways, I agree, Evo_toy is ignorant if he can't accept the fact that there are some sweet cars other than our "beloved" Evos...the domestics are catching up...
