The 1st place car was a Mallett Cadillac CTS that cost $120,000. The Vishnu EVO that took 2nd place cost $56,000 including all mods, or less than half of the price of the Mallett. On that basis alone, price dependent, we took first place BIG TIME.

Was on the C&D show on Spike TV a few weeks ago. Someone had posted a vid link, not sure if it's still active.

That is awesome, a $56k 4-cylinder turbo Evo runs a 0-60 time better than 2 twin-turbo vipers and numerous twin-turbo 427's. Not only that, its a better time than almost all the supercars in the world! Vishnu, as soon as I get an Evo, I'm coming to you. Holy crap.

super props to vishnu for doing this. they are smart guys, first the cannonball ( one lap) and this for the second year running, and i heard something about them putting a stage 1 upgrade in the car and driver long term evo. if i am not mistaken it was the only car in its class to be running the stock motor. nice, really nice. just gotta get my $1350 together for tubo back exhaust now.

yeah, all these events that Vishnu has competed in has really gotten my respect for them... I plan on going with the Xede pretty soon!

They should have gotten first place though, I don't understand why price wasn't factored in???

Props to them. But everytime they represent the Evo crowd, they continually have an IC hose that blows off. Not sure why 25psi (in this race situation) keeps causing them so many problems, as many other cars (Evo or not) don't seem to have the recurring problem. If that didn't happen, they would have taken first.

Congrats to Vishnu. I thought the article was fair although we all like to see the Evo in 1st. Streetability was a factor in the article and I think the Evo only had 2-3 stars out of 5. Price wasn't a factor.
I like how Shiv parked the car in the back of that picture as if he just snuck in or something. lol
