Because the avg person would not be able to tell one part from another that was taken. Like my hks injectors which were in a box with another set if stock injectors and a few bolts. They left the stock ones but took the hks which look almost the same except they are blue.

Doug,

Sorry to hear about your loss. I am willing to bet it is someone close to you that stole your stuff since they knew what they wanted and what you had. It may not be George it could be a so called friend since it smells like an inside job since they would need to know you were away for weak and know there is no chance of you coming home since stealin an engine takes time and muscle. How many people did you tell you were going to SEMA? since that question will shorten list of suspects that jacked your stuff. Also how did the neighbors not see anything since to steal an engine would take alot of time and noise

Snoop

These people definitely knew you personally, and targeted your car.

Did you police come and take prints?

If your debit card was a VISA or MASTERCARD debit card you may still be covered. It will depend on your bank. I would try to file a claim.

I just read thsi entire thread, then went to the website....there is a 75k dollar car in there, probably more....the place is a monster. What happens with a small business is people go loan happy, buy all the crap in the world expecting to be the next Microsoft, then realize they can't pay for an AWD dyno and imported French gourmet for lunch everyday. Been down that road...dont want to see it ever again. Point being, bankruptcy is there so people can get out of a the multitude of bad choices that got them there in the first place, and many people go down in flames with them. BUT, he should be paying his employees, shutting his doors and not taking new orders. Thats just not right.

I resisted chiming in on thei untill now, but I had the burning question of - Who is Brandon Hovind. Well, here's where it gets wierd, I did a Google search on him and here is the first link that comes up:

http://www.real-estate-online.com/re...ges/32177.html

It's Post from a guy named "(G)Atlanta" and Brandon Hovind is the first to respond. However, if you try and read the response there's a 404 error. Search that message board and EVERY Brandon Hovind post goes to a 404 error, while other users responses (even on the same thread) are fine... too wierd if you ask me.

However, just for a solid lead - it'd be a good idea to contact him, since Im sure he has some insight as to Georges whereabouts...

Brandon Hovind, (404) 325-2184, 5112 Sloan Sq NE, Atlanta, GA 30329

Good luck to all,

-M
