if it is freezing out, i dont really think you should be using the sprayer in the first place!!! is this a serious post?.... how about dry ice!

why would you be worried about puishing ice through the tubes?? everyone is saying use washer fluid or something that doesnt freeze... if it is that cold out there is no point to using the sprayer. in febuary when its 30 out, i know im not worried aobut spraying a fine mist of water on my FMIC

I think the IC spryer system is very psychological. It makes me happy to know that something is going on down there but I could never prove what's going on down there.

I don't think it helps that much but it's psychologically satisfying to know that I could just push a button and be happy that my car have a slight chance of moving the air more compressed.

 

You actually smear the get on to the IC. You don't actually put it on the Sprayer tank.

I coundn't agree more. This feature is pointless it does not help at all. I have yet to meet someone in person who really uses it. I have 30,000 miles and have never filed it back up.

 

You've seen cars that are several years old and have cruddy white, scaly buildup that's rendered the winshield washer system unusable. Still don't see any problems with tap?

 

ok guys, lemme set the record straight! i've been using tap water for a while now. Always have my sprayer on "auto" mode all the time. There was never any problems of scaling or anything. Just use tap water if you live in a hot place or country.

 

I doubt your car is old enough to where you'd see calcium buildup from evaporating tap water. Given enough time, you will. If you take the time to read the owner's manual, you'll find it confirms the same.

Anyway, it matters not to me. I'm simply stating facts for those who are proactive.

 

I've seen tap water for 40k plus in a friend's car. No problems.

 

Its sad that tap water is not good enough for my car, but it is good enough for me.

 

with that attitude, nol I still dont see a problem with it. Usually when I put the tap water into the sprayer and leave it, it'll distille overnight, so it's not a problem.

 

No attitude, just clarifying what's written in the owner's manual and why. It doesn't matter one iota to me what you put in it.
