Arrow Extra Hole when Removing Spoiler?

Well Winter is coming up and i need all the visibility i can get so i decided to take off my wing so i dont have my spoiler block my view with my rear view. When i removed my CF wing from its four screw/nut points i began to wonder what this "extra hole" was. It looked like Mitsu made a mess up while punching holes in the trunk to make the nut/screw holes for the spoiler mounting. This "extra" hole was covered up with a very strong adhesive plastic sticker. So now when the wing is off i have a quarter sized black PVC Adhesive sticker covering over this "extra hole". Does any body know how many holes are punched through the trunk for the spoiler? Has any body else had this problem? or is that hole for the normal spoiler? if any one knows let me know. IDk whether to just live with it or tell mitsu about how they messed up on my car outa thousands they made.

PS: I put the wing back on, because it looks ugly with that sticker, but i think it De-winging it gives it a more stealthy look.

The extra hole isn't a screw up, it's a speed hole. It reduces the overall weight of the car.

OK, seriously, it is the hole for the 3rd brake light on the smaller wing. uses one tooling on the trunk regardless of which wing gets installed. So all winged trunks get the same number of holes.

Efficiency and reduced cost.

Buy an RS trunk in the same color as your car. You can run stealthy with no holes.

The extra hole is for the shorty wing, the wiring for the 3rd brake light goes in that hole.

Alrighty, Thanks for the info. i still have my "Quality Assurance" Sticker on the windshield and i was going to hold that against them if that was a screw up.

Thanks
