Angry 24 hours from hell

Yeah, so TurboTrix is coming here in 1 week my car is un-drivable!!!! Thursday night I pulled out of work on my rock hard (COLD) Advans and the boost kicked in before I was all the way out of the turn. Rear end lifted up and just SLID STRAIGHT INTO THE CURB, shattering part of the rim off.

http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...53_50_full.jpg

Then, I ordered a new rim to be here by thursday (friday mount & install) and jacked the car up with the jack in the trunk and got the messed up rim off. Just as I was about to stick the donut tire on, the jack just tipped....dropping the entire car onto the right-rear rotor!!! There my car sits, a couple INCHES off the ground mushrooming the rotor as I frantically wedge the jack out, spin it back down, shove it back under and start spinning like a mad-man to jack the car back up enough to stick the donut tire on and spin the lugs so i could lower it back down. Neadless to say, I had already took this Friday off from work to give me one day before turbotrix flashes and tunes it so I could get my new exhaust, fuel pump, and MR diverter valve on. Now...I have to rush order a new rotor as well!! So my Friday will consist of receiving all my parts, installing a new downpipe, high-flow cat, cat-back exhaust, walbro fuel pump, MR diverter valve, EGT gauge, get the new rim mounted back onto my tire and on, as well as putting a new set of rotors on.

Note to self...don't give the car gas until the tires heat up enough to actually hold the road.

Just thought I'd share my little story with everybody in case you thought YOU had a bad day.

Lessons learned:
 • Don't do WOT turns leaving work
 • Don't drive hard before your tires are warmed up
 • Learn how to use jack stands and wheel chocks. You could save your own life.

I'm gonna have to take a ****load of baby steps on Friday!!! I'm thinking setting the alarm for 6am, picking up breakfast and a 12 pack of Miller Lite and start nice and early and HOPEFULLY be done with everything in time to get a little sleep before heading over Saturday morning to load it on the dyno.

Now I think of it, this happened before on my prelude. The Rotors actually went through the asphalt though, no damage done.

It almost killed me, but the rotor was ok....

Glad to hear that nothing happened to you when the car dropped. Be careful next time!

10 minute evo owner

hey guys i am a noob. me and the salesman went to go fill my gas and when we came back i droped him off. then i was off. but my friend relized i forgot my picture of my daughter. so i turned back. the dealership was on my left side and i was on the far lane turning in. the guy on the oppistie lane signaled me to go.i looked to make sure no-1 was else was comming in from the fast lane. this lady in a 1990 toyota carolla switched lanes and was speeding all i heard was screeching tires, i tried to hit into first and miss fate like i do in my 1998 prelude (traded in) she hits me! all i felt was a little nudge but when i went out she hit my p/s rear bumper and my rim. nothing else above that, but my rear axle is done. wen i saw it from the back it look like on of the pictures in superstreet advertiseing camber kits. we are goin through her insurence so mines don't go up. plus shes at fault so i don't pay anything but a lose of a car for a month. i'll post a pic i took with my nextel.
